Introduction


The QPM1007 is a Customer Interface Unit(CIU) with a keypad, used for recharging electricity meters. It communicates with the metering unit via RF for energy monitoring, data inquiry, and top-up.

Long-Range Wireless RF Coupling: Tailored specifically for suburban neighborhoods, single-family detached houses, and rural agricultural micro-grids where extending physical communication cables from outdoor poles or boundary fences into the home is cost-prohibitive.
Independent Power Backup: Outfitted with an optimized battery backup configuration that retains active wireless links and permits token balance queries, and historical consumption data readouts during structural grid blackouts.
Intuitive Vending Interface: Built around a responsive tactile keypad supporting 20-digit STS token entry, instantly transmitting voucher approvals wirelessly to the remote MCU and giving immediate confirmation of successful recharges.
